Purpose

SERVICE OBJECTIVES

Regular professional cleaning of railway tunnels is essential to ensure operational safety and environmental hygiene. The build-up of iron dust, wear debris, carbon residues and deposits not only poses a risk to staff health, but can also compromise the proper functioning of electrical systems, increase the risk of fire and obstruct escape routes within the tunnels.

EQUIPMENT

CUSTOM-DESIGNED OPERATIONAL VEHICLES

The service is provided using vehicles and equipment specifically designed for use in railway or underground tunnels, so as not to interfere with the operation of the infrastructure.

SPEED

HIGH PRODUCTIVITY

We don’t like to stay too long: our solution stands out for the high productivity of our machinery, making the most of the available working windows

EXPERIENCE

HIGHLY QUALIFIED STAFF

Our operators are not only trained in the correct use of machinery, but also have a detailed understanding of the laws and regulations governing their working environment and are trained to work with the highest possible level of safety.

AUTOMATION

HIGHLY MECHANISED PROCESSING

Most tunnel cleaning operations require operators to work exclusively from control cabins, where they are isolated from the external environment, with obvious benefits for their health and safety.

and environmental hygiene

Regular professional cleaning of railway tunnels is crucial for operational safety and environmental hygiene. The build-up of iron dust, wear debris, carbon residues and deposits not only poses a threat to staff health but can also compromise the functionality of electrical systems and increase the risk of fire.

Step 1

INSPECTION AND MAPPING

Before work begins, the tunnel is thoroughly inspected to assess its current condition. We check whether our vehicles can navigate the tunnel, identify any potential obstacles, and carry out an analysis of the pollutants to be removed in order to adjust the working parameters.

Step 2

MANUAL TRANSFER (IF REQUIRED)

Where large items of waste are found – a common occurrence in tunnel sections that are easily accessible from the outside – it is necessary to remove them before carrying out the service. We are able to provide effective support to operators even for manual clearance work, thanks to our specially equipped road-rail trucks.

Step 3

MECHANISED VACUUM CLEANING

Mechanical vacuum cleaning of the track bed and ballast is carried out. Our machinery is capable of filtering particles as small as PM4. In addition to dust extraction, we can also carry out mechanical brushing of the track bed.

Step 4

MECHANISED WASHING

The tunnel is cleaned mechanically using high- and low-pressure water jets capable of simultaneously cleaning the vaults, signage and track bed. The system employs mechanised arms, which enable cleaning even in awkward spots or sections of varying dimensions.
